Here I began the journey of my M.Ed. program in 'Teaching Multilingual Learners'. I first explored in greater depth, what a language is and what it means to teach and learn a language. I saw the importance of focusing on students' own cultural and linguistic backgrounds in our work. I had a first exploration of language assessments. I studied the concept of student profiles of language learners. This set the foundations for what was next.
