Moving forward, I discussed the key principles of effective language teaching.
I investigated for the first time the difference between discrete skills and integrated skills teaching, as well as considering when each approach might be appropriate. Discrete skills teaching refers to a focus on one of the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing on its own. Integrated skills refers to focusing on two of more skills at the same time.
I was humbled to have the opportunity to make a full curriculum map and IB unit plan, as well as to explore how to support students with special needs.
